Hello Cindy,

That are true words!

Have a nice friday and a wonderful weekend.

that's true I agree

Oh I am in a war zone !!! This - fcnl - seeks a world with no wars
Yet Cindy, what do they have a petition ? Diplomacy, developement, international relations ? If X has and Y has not ,how can there be international relations? To create a peaceful world ,I would say these points ,these pillars are required, Spiritual philosophy,Spiritual practise,Social -economic theory, Social Outlook,Leadership, leaders must be spiritual moralist,( you can not have morality in a capitalist system
They write: "While the U.S. has invested hundreds of billions of dollars to build capabilities to fight and win wars, little money or time has been invested in developing the tools necessary to prevent deadly conflict."
Here 60 yrs of war has brought little peace. Iran supports the palestinians Iran, in turn ,want a stat of chaos in the midle east.
Diplomacy?

The root of the trouble is that this entire Moslem region is totally dysfunctional, by any standard of the word, and would have been so even if Israel would have joined the Arab league and an independent Palestine would have existed for 100 years. The 22 member countries of the Arab league, from Mauritania to the Gulf States, have a total population of 300 millions, larger than the US and almost as large as the EU before its expansion. They have a land area larger than either the US or all of Europe. The social status of women is far below what it was in the Western World 150 years ago. Human rights are below any reasonable standard, in spite of the grotesque fact that Libya was elected Chair of the UN Human Rights commission. Birth rates in the region are very high, increasing the poverty, the social gaps and the cultural decline. And all of this is happening in a region, which only 30 years ago, was believed to be the next wealthy part of the world, and in a Moslem area, which developed, at some point in history, one of the most advanced cultures in the world.

It is fair to say that this creates an unprecedented breeding ground for cruel dictators, terror networks, fanaticism, incitement, suicide murders and general decline.

Some do think that we can profit from it!
Happy Friday...Chris

I agree!

Amen to that...

Le'ts make love not war, peace for all the world ...

Kisses with love from Mexico and a nice weekend for you dearest Cindy:

Sad to say that 'civilisation' and warfare have gone hand in hand since we first started building cities thousands of years ago. Even when some try to take the route of peaceful co-existence (and that's rare) all it takes if for one group to decide to have a go at another. Sadly peace means everyone has to follow the rules of non violence and that just never happens, then we get into the well, yes, we use violence and war but only in a 'good cause' not for self gain and start dancing on the heads of pins trying to moralise the immoral. I'll never understand why others want to hate and kill other people; we all, every one of us, lose beloved people through age and illness enough without the deliberate taking of lives being added, why would anyone want to? Will never understand that and I'm glad I don't, I hope my lack of comprehension of barbarity indicates maybe I've evolved just a wee bit more

War is not the question either!
