Oak against Tall Poplars

11/16/09
Exposed to the wind of our recent storm, the poplars saw their leaves fly off in flocks; the lower oaks, more protected, are releasing theirs in single droplets.

One big airy oak leaf floated, swooping down in arcs, to land in front and to the side of my car this afternoon, on the road near my house. There was no oak tree directly above; the leaf had just sailed around in the neighborhood for a while. It will eventually drift into a pile somewhere, I know, yet I saw it, and know there's special providence in it.

nothing happened to the madonna, buti like contrasts. sometimes you have to find a wore inbetween things and even if it's there you cannot see it...

I think we are far more north than the pacific northwest, are we not ? THe trees are in our Stadtpark, which is oppposite my hospital....of course it´s not my hospital, it belongs to the catholic church....Mafia....haha my thoughts are a bit jumpy, slept too much, sorry......my head´s a bit woozy :P

i like minimalism and this one is so minimalistic :)

PW - Thought you'd found a kite, too. Lovely picture. Lovely meditation.

Leaf falling, not tree.
The cycle’s ending tastes of
Continuity.

¡Un beso, Paul!

What a beauty, Paul, fantastic photo!

Nice week to you also, my friend.

Besos. Ana

So beautiful and delicate. Painterly even. Those leaves from what seem like nowhere are a special kind of providence aren't they ...

Hugs to you!
Cindy

Winter's a-coming.

An excellent comparison of contrasts. Very effective. All of the flooding is over. the out-going Governor finially declared a state of emergency once he woke up. The site where I holiday in the summers, North Wildwood, NJ, was hit especially hard. Alot of beach erosion.

Have a good night.
Harry

Beautiful and interesting composition !
